Seven Oaks General Hospital Emergency Room Redevelopment Project

Seven Oaks General Hospital has begun construction on a $14 million Redevelopment of the Emergency Department. Once constructed, the new ER will be 50% larger and include a new three-vehicle ambulance bay, a decontamination room and many other improvements. The project is expected to take approximately 18 months.

On March 1st the existing ER entrance will close for the duration of the project (approximately 14 months).

Beginning March 1 at 1300 hrs all EMS (all ambulances, police, fire department, stretcher service) traffic will enter the hospital at the main entrance off Leila. An EMERGENCY sign will be erected over the Main Entrance off Leila on March 1st.

The route from the main entrance to the ER will be clearly marked with "EMS Route" signs posted on the wall on the left as you enter the hospital.

For those familiar with the main entrance, the route is through the front doors, behind the elevators, down the service hallway, (past the OR and ICU) to the passageway between ER and Observation.

Family members accompanying patients should are asked to proceed straight down the main hall, following the "Emergency" signs to the ER waiting room by the Triage desk. This route is in green on the attached map.

Thank you for your support and patience during this very exciting project.
