For people who want to learn more about maintaining a balanced, healthy lifestyle while enjoying the best of a Winnipeg summer, The Ex marks the spot.

This year's edition of the Red River Ex - which takes place from June 13-22 - will once again feature the GO4health EXpo, an assortment of interactive booths promoting healthy living, staffed by knowledgeable representatives of various WRHA programs and their community partners.

The GO4health EXpo provides hands-on activities, valuable information, activities and lots of giveaways. It also helps connect people with health resources in their communities. Healthy living topics include:

  • Cooking and healthy eating
  • Active transportation and a healthy built environment
  • Positive mental health
  • Tobacco reduction and smoking cessation
  • Oral health
  • Community supports and services for seniors
  • Preventing injury
  • Healthy sexuality
  • Sun safety
