Pharmacist Students
University of Manitoba College of Pharmacy students may apply to work as "Pharmacist Assistants" during their Pharm D education at select hospital pharmacies within Winnipeg, including Manitoba's largest hospital pharmacy at Health Sciences Centre. Recruitment for these positions begins each fall, with employment starting in May following completion of students' 1st year, and finishing at the completion of the 4th year (3 year term employment).
Students begin working within the drug distribution system and progress to become pharmacist helpers by their final year of work. These positions provide a great opportunity to learn about hospital pharmacy practice.
