 DSM Medical Laboratory Services The medical laboratories within the WRHA are operated by Diagnostic Services of Manitoba (DSM). DSM provides on-site laboratory services at the eight Winnipeg Hospitals, St. Amant Centre and Mount Carmel Clinic with a phlebotomy service being operated at Riverview Health Centre. DSM's Winnipeg region labs are a point of access for facility in-patients to a comprehensive range of laboratory services, including Biochemistry and Genetics, Hematopathology, Immunology, Microbiology, Transfusion Medicine, Surgical Pathology, Autopsy and Cytology, for the purpose of diagnosis, pre and post operative testing and treatment monitoring. All WRHA clinical programs rely on laboratory testing in order for physicians and caregivers to make informed clinical decisions regarding patient care. DSM is the not-for-profit corporation responsible for all of Manitoba's public laboratory and rural diagnostic imaging services (imaging services outside of Winnipeg and Brandon). DSM's Winnipeg region labs are part of a provincial network of 77 facilities working collaboratively to provide high-quality, state-of-the-art services to Manitoba's diagnostic customers.
