We would like to advise the public that a water main break is currently affecting operations at Seven Oaks General Hospital.
Around 10:00pm Saturday evening, flooding was discovered in a lower level of the hospital. After further investigation, a water main break was discovered, which required a full water shutdown in the hospital. Water services at the Wellness Institute are not affected at this time.
Facility management is working with the City of Winnipeg and a restoration company to restore the water supply as quickly as is feasible and contingency plans for water supply are being implemented.
Urgent Care at Seven Oaks Hospital remains open, and there is no disruption to service or care at this time.
Leadership is working closely with Regional Infection, Prevention and Control to ensure staff are maintaining appropriate hygiene standards while delivering care.
Any patients scheduled for appointments or services impacted by this issue will be contacted directly. WRHA and Shared Health are working to ensure all patients receive the care they need.
Any Seven Oaks General Hospital Dialysis patients with questions about their upcoming appointments can call 204-795-3735.
We would like to thank all staff for their cooperation and dedication to ensure that all patients remain safe and cared for at this time.
More information will be provided once available.
