Hana Forbes

Executive Director, Long Term Care Program

Winnipeg Regional Health Authority President & CEO Vickie Kaminski was pleased to receive the following commendation from Gary J. Ledoux, CEO of the Bethania Group (which includes the Bethania Mennonite and  Pembina Place Mennonite personal care homes) recognizing the work of Hana Forbes, Executive Director of the WRHA's Long Term Care Program. It is gratifying to know that Hana's efforts are appreciated by our partners like Bethania Group and other members of the Manitoba Association of Residential & Community Care Homes for the Elderly (MARCHE):

"I am writing to express our sincere appreciation for the role that Hana has played leading Winnipeg Personal Care Homes in addressing the almost innumerable issues and challenges in the management of the pandemic in long term care.

Hana has been the most trusted source of information and advice and is unflappable in the face of emerging needs and ever changing directives and strategies. Just as importantly, she will admit when she doesn't have all of the answers. She has handled herself with aplomb and endless patience . . . We have all relied on her to follow through with the escalation of our requests and to get answers to our questions.

I know I can say without contradiction that all of my MARCHE CEO colleagues and their senior staff join me in recognizing Hana for her outstanding leadership, expert consultation and unwavering support during this unprecedented crisis."

Thank you Hana, and members of the Long Term Care Team, for all that you do to support our partners and residents in all 39 long term care facilities across Winnipeg.
