Indigenous Health Policy Workshop

One-Day Workshop for Winnipeg Regional Health Authority Leadership

GOAL

This workshop is designed to provide decision makers within the organization the tools to effectively make change and understand the obligation and accountability of management and board members to make a difference for all staff members of WRHA and affiliates.

WHAT YOU CAN LEARN:

  • Increase understanding of health policy and how it impacts Indigenous patients and families
  • Raise awareness of Indigenous historical issues that have contributed to today's inequalities for Indigenous peoples within ‘systems' and institutional and social racism.

TIMES AND REGISTRATION:

Participants may include but not be limited to WRHA board members, all levels of management and First Nations, Métis & Inuit Health & Human Resources (FNMIHHR) Committee to the board.

It is recommended that participants complete the Indigenous Cultural Awareness Workshop prior to this workshop.

We are currently transitioning from WRHA's Organization & Staff Development's online registration system to the Learning Management System operated by Manitoba eHealth.

Available dates for this workshops will be listed on LMS. You will need to create an LMS account in order to register for these workshops.
