Dr. Joss Reimer accepts role of WRHA Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Joss Reimer has accepted the role of Chief Medical Officer for the WRHA.
Dr. Reimer comes to this role as a valued member of the WRHA's administrative and clinical teams through her work as the Medical Director of Population and Public Health. She is widely respected as a leader within the broader health care system, particularly through her most recent role as the Medical Lead and Official Spokesperson for the provincial Vaccine Implementation Taskforce.
Dr. Reimer brings a wealth of clinical and leadership experience to the CMO role and to the WRHA Senior Executive Team. She is a Public Health Physician by background, but also continues to work clinically in low-risk obstetrics, currently at Health Sciences Centre. Her experience in leadership roles includes serving as the Director of Population Health Undergraduate Medical Education at the University of Manitoba, as well as provincially leading work in the area of Sexually Transmitted & Bloodborne Infections & Drug-Related Harms.
Dr. Reimer will step into this role effective April 18, 2022.
