Kind-hearted and professional, Florent Gaudry has provided exceptional client centred audiological service to Manitobans for the past 40 years. As a young audiologist, he started his career in Thompson, Manitoba with the Provincial Hearing Conservation Program before moving to the Seven Oaks Hearing Centre in Winnipeg, where he has been a strong advocate for both his clients and the audiology profession.

As a community audiologist, he has provided expert assessment services for a range of clients from preschoolers to adults. For many years, Florent has been the only audiologist in the WRHA offering Central Auditory Processing Disorder assessments and continues to lead the field in evidence-based practice. With a keen interest in technology, Florent has always had a strong commitment to the use of technology to improve clinical service and outcomes for his clients and practice.

Throughout his career Florent has been a leader, representing the community audiologists on various leadership committees. He has served on the Board of Directors for The College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Manitoba (CASLPM) as a council member and past president. His passion for research combined with his tenacity and persistence, have significantly advanced audiology practice within the WRHA.

Above all Florent truly cares, and would never hesitate to assist clients, colleagues or his community. He has participated several times in the dragon boat races, helping to raise funds for various charities. Outside of the audiology booth, you will find Florent enjoying the great Manitoba outdoors, as he is an avid hiker and photographer.

The WRHA is truly fortunate to have such an outstanding clinician who has dedicated 40 years to the profession of audiology.
