Rooms include:
- Hospital bed
- Dresser or combination dresser/desk
- Bedside table
- Shelves for knick knacks and pictures
- Closet with shelves and hanging space
- Electric heat with own thermostat
- Toilet and sink (100 rooms with private washroom, 16 rooms have shared toilet with adjoining room)
- Light on wall and over bed
- Window (with blinds)
- Bedding (sheets, blanket, pillows, towels)
- Capacity for cable television and phone through Shaw (Families must make their own arrangements for hookup and are responsible for the payments.)
- Call bell system in bedroom and bathroom
- Waste basket
- Bulletin board

Rooms cannot accommodate
- Pets
- Carpets or scatter rugs
- Humidifiers and dehumidifiers
- Furniture (unless approved prior to bringing it in.)
- Highly valuable items (items such as antiques or artifacts may be subject to accidental damage)
- Electric heating pads
- Hot water bottles
- Kettles/coffee makers
- Fridges/freezers
- Smoking paraphernalia and other flammable objects
- Large sums of money strongly discouraged
Items to Bring
PLEASE NOTE: ALL ITEMS OF PERSONAL FURNITURE MUST BE CLEARED WITH ADMINISTRATION PRIOR TO ADMISSION AND MUST BE LABELED BY THE FAMILY BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO THE BUILDING. ALL ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT (LAMPS, CHAIRS, TELEVISIONS, RADIOS, ETC) WILL BE SAFETY TESTED BY MAINTENANCE STAFF PRIOR TO USE.
- Personal clothing (Must be machine washable and will be labeled for you at admission)
- Personal items such as:
- Pictures for the walls
- Lamp
- Television and/or radio
- Phone (if you require phone service)
- Bedspread/comforter (if you prefer to use your own)
- Small Plants (Resident or families must be able to care for plants.)
- Knick knacks (nothing of great value)
- Cane, walker, wheelchair - as required for your mobility
- Toiletries - Kleenex, toothpaste, etc. (see family responsibility form for more details.)
- Nail care kit
