Arranging Job Shadowing, Observership(s) or Pharmacy Tour(s)

For small groups of students or trainees (usually 2-8 at a time), WRHA Pharmacies may be able to provide:

• A pharmacy dispensary tour of approximately 1 hour duration
• Opportunity for students to observe the work and job roles of pharmacy technicians, pharmacy assistants, or pharmacists in either dispensary or patient care areas (approximately 3 hours duration)

Availability of tour and job shadowing opportunities varies from hospital pharmacy to hospital pharmacy over the course of the year. To inquire about tour or job shadowing availability, please contact the WRHA Regional Pharmacy Manager for Education Services at least 4 weeks in advance of the date you'd like to visit.
