Therapeutic Recreation Programs

General Programs

General programs take place on the main floor either inside the building or on the deck/ in the garden and are open to residents from all floors based on their recreation care assessments. Programs include but are not limited to, monthly birthday parties, seasonal special event entertainment, bingo, pet visits, movie matinees and evening entertainment. Please see the monthly general calendar below.

Please note that this calendar is subject to change as needed or requested.

New monthly calendars will be put up on or as close to the first of the month as possible. Calendars are also available at the front desk.

Recreation Staff

Golden West has four part time Therapeutic Recreation Facilitators, as part of the care team. They provide a variety of large general group, small on unit group and one on one programs designed to meet resident's needs and abilities. There is one Facilitator assigning to each of the care units.
