Therapeutic Recreation Programs

General Programs

General programs take place on the main floor either inside the building or on the deck/ in the garden. General programs are open to residents from all floors based on their recreation care assessments. General programs include but are not limited to, monthly birthday parties, seasonal special event entertainment, bingo, pet visits, movie matinees and evening entertainment. Please see the monthly general calendar below.

Please note that this calendar is subject to change as needed or requested.

New monthly calendars will be put up on or as close to the first of the month as possible. Please keep in mind that this means that some times it may not be up on the 1st as it may fall on a weekend or while I am away from the building.

Calendars are also available at the font desk. If none are left please ask.

Recreation Staff

Golden West has four part time Therapeutic Recreation Facilitators, as part of the care team. They provide a variety of large general group, small on unit group and one on one programs designed to meet resident's needs and abilities. There is one Facilitator assigning to each of the care units.
