July 9, 2019 – The emergency department at Seven Oaks General Hospital will become an Urgent Care Centre on Monday, July 22, the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority announced today.
May 29, 2019 – The emergency department at Concordia Hospital will become a 24/7 Urgent Care Centre on Monday, June 3, while similar changes remain on track at Seven Oaks General Hospital for September, the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority and Shared Health announced today.
April 5, 2019 – On March 7, 2019, a bag was stolen from an unattended parked vehicle of an employee with the WRHA. The stolen bag contained a notebook with information pertaining to the employee's schedule of activities and included the names and ward locations of clients.

December 18, 2018 – The Community Intravenous program (CIVP) has consolidated their service at Misericordia Health Centre (MHC). As part of the Healing Our Health System plan, the program relocated and began serving clients on November 28, 2018.
December 14, 2018 – Newly renovated mental health in-patient units at Victoria Hospital will welcome their first clients next week, representing a significant milestone in the planned reorganization of mental health services in Winnipeg.
November 29, 2018 – Data released today by the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) revealed a drastic, 25% improvement in the total time spent in Winnipeg emergency departments for patients admitted to hospital. Winnipeg is now better than the Canadian average in this regard.
November 7, 2018 – The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) today announced $3.2 million in funding for additional Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU) nursing resources to address the sustained increase in patient volumes seen at both Health Sciences Centre Winnipeg and St. Boniface Hospital over the past year.
