Mike Nader is the President and CEO of the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority, and brings more than 25 years of health care leadership experience in British Columbia and Ontario to the role.

Prior to joining the WRHA, he served as Chief Transformation Officer at Ontario Health, where he led the transition of 20 provincial agencies and local health integration networks into a single provincial agency.  He was on secondment from the University Health Network (UHN) in Toronto, Ontario, where he served as the Executive Vice-President, Clinical Support and Performance and Chief Operating Officer. Mike also has experience working in British Columbia where he held multiple leadership positions with Vancouver Coastal Health including Chief Operating Officer for the Coastal Community of Care, Chief Operating Officer in Richmond, British Columbia and the executive lead for the Clinical and Systems Transformation project. 

Mike holds a Bachelor of Science and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of British Columbia, as well as a Master of Arts in Health Care Leadership and Training from Royal Roads University.  He has also completed his Executive Lean Leader and Executive Lean Director designations, as well as his Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD.D) designation. He has been a surveyor with Accreditation Canada since 2009 and has served on the boards of numerous health care organizations including the Health Insurance Reciprocal of Canada (HIROC) and the Canadian College of Health Leaders (CCHL).

Mike enjoys spending quality time with his family, whether they’re fishing together, embarking on exciting travel adventures, or exploring the ocean while scuba diving.

Aaron Jattan, MD, MMEd, CCFP is the Acting Regional Lead for Clinical Services and Chief Medical Officer for the WRHA.  He is a family physician who has worked in both acute and community settings in Winnipeg and rurally throughout his career and is currently a staff hospitalist at St. Boniface Hospital.  He is also actively involved in medical education and is an Assistant Professor with the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Manitoba.

Dr. Jattan obtained his medical degree from the University of Ottawa and completed his Family Medicine training at the University of Manitoba in Brandon.  He maintains his Certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) and sits on national committees with the CFPC.  Dr. Jattan has previously served as the Regional Medical Specialty Lead for Family Medicine for the WRHA and was previously the Associate Chief Medical Officer.  Outside the WRHA, Dr. Jattan continues to actively teach and lead within the medical school at the University of Manitoba.

Dr. Jattan, growing up in Toronto, remains a staunch supporter of the Toronto Blue Jays, Raptors and Leafs (with the Jets a close second). He enjoys spending time with his family, competing in CrossFit competitions and barbequing in summer and winter.

Kerstin Jordan is the Regional Lead – Quality, Patient Safety and Accreditation for the Winnipeg Health Region. She has nearly 29 years of health care experience, including extensive experience as a nurse in emergency departments and intensive care units in Winnipeg.

After graduating from the Misericordia Hospital School of Nursing, she spent the majority of her career at Concordia Hospital, where she eventually became a nurse manager in the orthopedic surgery unit, and a nurse manager in the intensive care unit. In 2015, she joined the Winnipeg Health Region as the Quality & Patient Safety lead, and in 2018 the role transitioned to the Senior Executive Team, of which she remains an integral member. In addition to her leadership role, she continues to support her colleagues on the frontline by picking up nursing shifts in the emergency department at Grace Hospital.

Kerstin is a certified executive and leadership coach, and is passionate about building teams and mentoring health care leaders at all levels of the system. When she's not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and her daughter, as well as relaxing with a good book and a cup of coffee.

Mary Anne Lynch is the Regional Lead – Health Services, Acute care and Chief Nursing Officer for the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. A registered nurse herself, Mary Anne has extensive experience in acute care operations and the delivery of health care services.

Before being named the Regional Lead and CNO in February 2021, Mary Anne held the interim position of Acting Chief Health Operating Officer and CNO in the fall of 2020, and acting CNO in fall of 2015.  Prior to this, she was the Divisional Director for Access and Transition and Medicine Programs for the WRHA and was responsible for the development of a centralized bed access service within the WRHA in 2017, supporting best practice in flow work.  As a program director in the Medicine programs for almost a decade, she supported standardization in practice and care across hospitals in Winnipeg.

Mary Anne earned a Masters in Nursing in 2007 from the University of Manitoba, Bachelor in Nursing in 1997 from the University of Manitoba and graduated from the Health Sciences Centre School of Nursing in 1990.   A life-long Winnipegger, Mary Anne enjoys travelling, cooking, and most importantly, spending time with her family.

Jane MacKay is the Chief Human Resources Officer with the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. She has previous senior leadership experience in both the private and public sectors within Canada and the US having worked at Petro-Canada, Coca-Cola and MCI.  

Within healthcare, she has held the position of Executive Director, Human Resources at Grace Hospital, and Chief Human Resources Officer at HSC. Jane recently received her ICD Designation, sits on The Manitoba Appeal Commission, is a Trustee on Health Employee Benefits Board (HEB), is listed as an approved Conciliator and Grievance Mediator with the Manitoba Labour Board and is a Board Member of the Children's Hospital Research Institute of Manitoba.

Jane is inspired by the good work, collaboration and caring that is provided by our healthcare staff and grateful for the opportunity we all have to make an important difference in peoples lives each and every day.

Lynette McDonald serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Indigenous Health for the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA). She is a proud member of the Peguis First Nation and grew up in the Métis communities of Matheson Island and Loon Straits, having spent most of her life in Selkirk, Manitoba. With over three decades of experience in healthcare, Lynette brings a wealth of knowledge in educational and administrative roles across acute and community care settings in both rural and urban environments.

Prior to her current role, Lynette’s was a Discharge Planning Coordinator with Aboriginal Health Services (now Indigenous Health Services), where she was instrumental in advocating for better communication and education among multidisciplinary teams across WRHA's acute care sites. She also was the Executive Director for Peguis First Nation, where she developed two key programs: Peguis Community Supports and Services, an off-reserve medical transportation program, and Huddle Selkirk, a mental health and addictions program for youth in the Selkirk and Interlake region.

Beyond her role at WRHA, Lynette has served on the Board of Directors for Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority, and is a part-time Surveyor with Accreditation Canada. Lynette's leadership style is characterized by humility and a deep understanding of the unique health and wellness needs of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. She is dedicated to bringing the voices of these communities into the forefront of health care planning and creating a culturally safe health system.

In her personal time, Lynette loves spending time with her family enjoying everything nature has to offer. She and her son also enjoy taking their motorcycles out whenever possible.

Tara-Lee Procter, BSW, RSW, MPA is the Regional Lead – Health Services, Community & Continuing Care for the WRHA. She has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare, with extensive experience in leadership positions in both long term care and community care.

Before joining the WRHA executive team, Tara-Lee was the Chief Executive Officer at Holy Family Home in Winnipeg, caring for 317 personal care home residents. Previously, she held the roles of Regional Director of the Long-Term Care Program with the Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority, as well as Program Director for Home Care and Director of Operations, Home Care Centralized Services in the WRHA. Her experience has enabled her to have a broad perspective on healthcare delivery both strategically and operationally.

Tara-Lee has a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Manitoba and a Masters of Public Administration through the Universities of Winnipeg and Manitoba Joint Program. She has also completed the Health Systems Leadership Graduate Certificate through Royal Roads University.

In her spare time, Tara-Lee enjoys spending time outdoors gardening and camping, as well as spending time with her husband and two children.

Scott Sime is the Regional Lead – Communications & Engagement for the Winnipeg Health Region. Scott brings over 25 years of marketing, communication and engagement experience at a senior leadership level from both public and private sectors.

As one of the first internet marketing entrepreneurs in Winnipeg, Scott owned, grew and sold several websites that enabled small businesses to attract local customers before joining MTS Yellow Pages in 2000 as a marketing director for emerging digital business lines. He transitioned to the not for profit sector in 2008, joining United Way of Winnipeg as Vice President of Marketing & Engagement, where he led the development of a new national brand framework and numerous innovative communications, funding and engagement programs.

Brining his passion for our community and desire to be a part of making positive change, Scott joined the Winnipeg Health Region in 2018. He and his team prioritize an outside-in approach, looking for ways to influence the improvement of our health system for patients, clients, residents and staff.

In his off hours, Scott enjoys time with family, playing guitar, photography, fishing and exploring Manitoba.

Dan Skwarchuk, CPA, CGA, CHE, is the Regional Lead - Corporate Services and Chief Financial Officer for the WRHA. Having worked in healthcare for 30 years in various capacities, Dan also previously served as Assistant Deputy Minister, Resources and Performance and EFO with Manitoba Health.  He has also volunteered on a number of not-for-profit Boards over the course of his career.

In 1994, he received an undergraduate degree in Commerce from the University of Manitoba, which was followed by a Certified Public Accountant designation in 1997.  He also attained the Certified Health Executive designation in 2007 with the Canada College of Health Leaders. Dan also completed a two-year fellowship with the Canada Foundation for Health Improvement's EXTRA Program.

Dan is an avid supporter of the Bombers, Jets and other local sports teams, and has a large collection of team and player-worn jerseys. He and his family enjoy many activities including attending sporting events and taking trips together.

Shawn Thomas, MD, CCFP, FCFP is the Acting Associate Chief Medical Officer for the WRHA. He is a family physician who has served in acute, subacute and community medicine settings throughout Winnipeg. He continues to work as a staff hospitalist at Concordia Hospital, where he also serves as the Chief Medical Officer. He is also the Medical Director for Concordia Health Associates, a private fee-for-service clinic in River East/Transcona, and is an Assistant Professor with the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Manitoba.

Dr. Thomas obtained his medical degree from the University of Manitoba, and completed his Family Medicine Training at the University of Manitoba, Kildonan Medical Centre in 2004. In addition to working in family practice for 20 years and as a hospitalist at Concordia, he previously worked in emergency departments at both Seven Oaks and Concordia Hospitals, as well as a number of personal care homes within Winnipeg.  He also previously served as the Regional Medical Speciality Lead for Family Medicine for the WRHA from 2021-2024. 

Dr. Thomas was born and raised in Winnipeg, remains a die-hard supporter of all sports teams with the name Winnipeg in them (even if/when sorrow results as the aftermath). He loves spending time with his family, learning about his deficiencies as a parent to teenage children, tinkering with a sub-par golf swing, hitting the gym, and all things process-related.
