Statement on Oakview Place abuse investigation
September 13, 2022 – We were informed by the Winnipeg Police Service today that it has arrested two health care aides that were the subject of an investigation into abuse at Extendicare Oakview Place.

Data breach results from bag theft
April 9, 2021 – The WRHA advises that on March 26, 2021, a bag belonging to a Home Care employee of the WRHA was stolen from her vehicle. The bag contained information pertaining to the employee's daily schedule of activities, including personal health information for her clients.
WRHA announces opening of new pop-up testing site
July 23, 2020 – A new pop-up site for COVID-19 testing has been opened in Winnipeg, in order to accommodate a surge of public demand for testing which has resulted in a third consecutive day of record testing numbers.

July 2, 2020 – The COVID-19 testing site at 1284 Main St., the MPI location will be closed at noon today for the remainder of the day due to lack of shelter from extremely high temperatures.
