April 6, 2022 – Dr. Joss Reimer has accepted the role of Chief Medical Officer for the WRHA. Dr. Reimer comes to this role as a valued member of the WRHA's administrative and clinical teams through her work as the Medical Director of Population and Public Health. She is widely respected as a leader within the broader health care system, particularly through her most recent role as the Medical Lead and Official Spokesperson for the provincial Vaccine Implementation Taskforce.

March 31, 2022 – The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) would like to remind the community that although provincial public health restrictions have been lifted, COVID-19 is still a very present risk in our health care settings.

It's reassuring to know, however, that new treatments for COVID-19 are now available, by referral, for adult patients who meet the required criteria.

February 7, 2022 – Ode'imin (ooh-day-min) located at 603 St. Mary's Road, at the fork of St. Anne's and St. Mary's Road, has been home to what Manitobans have known as the Birth Center for the last ten years. On December 9th it was gifted with its Spirit name of ‘Ode'imin', the Ojibwa word for strawberry.

January 21, 2022 – As COVID-19 continues to spread rapidly in our community, we have seen an increase in both hospitalizations and outbreaks at many of our sites, and as part of our response, have redeployed many staff to the areas of greatest need.

November 10, 2021 – At a special ceremony at 11:00 a.m. today, Doctors Manitoba honored Dr. Ken Hahlweg, site medical lead for the Northern Connection Medical Centre, with a Special Award for Bravery for his heroic role in disrupting a knife attack on a nursing colleague last month at Seven Oaks General Hospital.
