Geriatric Psychology Services
Specialized services for older adults are available for cognitive and memory assessment, depression, anxiety, grief, caregiver stress, adjustment to medical conditions such as stroke, Parkinson's, cardiovascular illness and other conditions more frequently experienced by older adults. The Early Cognitive Change Clinic for Older Adults is a specialty clinic for assessment and assistance with age-related, mild cognitive impairment, and is offered at the St. Boniface Hospital. Consultations regarding difficulties with sleep or pain are also available. Services are available on an outpatient basis. Personal Care Home consultations are also provided. Older adults can also be referred to Clinical Health Psychology adult services for anxiety, depression, sleep and other psychological services as described elsewhere on this site.
