Learning Experience

The UHCA Training Program is a full-time paid training program that prepares you for a career as an Uncertified Home Care Attendant in just four weeks. As a student, you will participate in hands-on and classroom learning, followed by a practicum in the community.

Hands-On Learning

Weeks 1-2

You will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning that will equip you with the necessary skills to provide compassionate care to clients. Our experienced instructors will guide you through essential tasks such as personal care, mobility assistance and meal planning and preparation. This immersive learning approach ensures you gain confidence and competence as you progress through the program.

Practicum

Weeks 3-4

To truly excel in the field of home care, you need to put your knowledge and skills to the test in a real-world setting. Our program includes a practicum experience that places you alongside our seasoned home care professionals. During your practicum, you will have the opportunity to work with real clients, apply your training and further refine your abilities. This experiential learning is invaluable and will help you transition seamlessly into your new role.
