Nothing in those 23 years, however, prepared her for what she and so many other health-care professionals would experience during a global pandemic that has now entered its second year.
May 10, 2021 – Berger was one of the first Public Health Nurses to volunteer as a contact tracer/case investigator. Contact tracing helps limit the spread of COVID-19 by identifying and notifying people who may have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for the virus.

May 10, 2021 – To help care for PCH residents and to mitigate that strain, a special Community Intravenous Program (CIVP) sub-team was quickly mobilized to provide intravenous hydration to PCH residents across Winnipeg, reducing the need for Emergency Medical Services (EMS) presence in those facilities and reducing the number of residents being transferred to emergency departments.
