One-Day Workshop for Service Providers Working in Mental Health

GOAL

The Circle of Care Workshop aims to create discussion and provide information on establishing culturally safe environments and service provision for Indigenous mental health clients.

THE WORKSHOP

Learn about cultural safety and what this means for you as a mental health service provider and for Indigenous people accessing services.

  • Understanding your own professional and personal culture through reflection
  • Identify and explore issues that affect our well-being
  • Comparing and contrasting mental health service practices to Indigenous approaches and worldviews
  • Enhancing the role of cultural resilience in promoting health and well-being

It is recommended that participants complete the Indigenous Cultures Awareness Workshop prior to this workshop.
