Rehabilitation, Healthy Aging and Seniors Care
Rehabilitation, Healthy Aging and Seniors Care provides services across nine hospital sites, various outpatient locations and throughout the community within the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA). The services provided include, health promotion, injury/illness prevention, treatment and support for a variety of conditions. The program generally provides support to clients who are receiving services from other WRHA programs, such as Medicine, Family Medicine, Primary Care, Home Care, Surgery, and Community Long Term Care for example. In order to meet the rehabilitation needs of our clients many different professionals are involved in improving and maintaining the function of our clients. The different disciplines involved across the Program include, specialists and generalists in both rehabilitation and geriatric care including Physicians, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Respiratory Therapists, Speech Language Pathologist, Audiologist, Social Workers, Registered Dietitians, Pharmacists, Prosthetists, Orthotists, Recreation Coordinators, Health Care Assistants and Rehabilitation Assistants.
Rehabilitation, Healthy Aging and Seniors Care has inpatient beds located at five facilities, Day Hospital Programs located at five facilities, Outpatient Services, and Outreach Services. Please refer to the specific service areas on the right for more detailed information.
