Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program

  • The Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program has three locations:
    • Deer Lodge Centre (DLC)  
    • Misericordia Health Centre (MHC)
    • Seven Oaks/Wellness Institute (SO/WI)
  • This referral form contains the inclusion criteria, and exclusion criteria
  • This program is offered to clients with chronic lung conditions that have been identified through diagnostic breathing tests
  • It is an eight week outpatient program providing exercise and self-management education. It is not generalized rehabilitation or mobility focused program.
  • An intake assessment must be done prior to being placed in the program.
  • Clients are required to attend twice per week, for 8 weeks, for a two hour session
  • Smoking cessation support is available through the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program
  • Referrals are accepted from primary care providers.

  • Along with your Primary Care Provider you will work with a team of health professionals that include:
    • Program Respirologists
    • Respiratory Therapists
    • Physiotherapists
    • Occupational therapists
    • Dietitians
    • Pharmacist
    • Kinesiologists
    • Rehabilitation Assistant
    • Social Workers
