Amputee Outpatient Clinics

• This clinic provides outpatient follow-up for those patients who have undergone a limb amputation
• Referrals are accepted from Physicians/Primary Care Providers

Stroke/Post Stroke/Spasticity Outpatient Clinic

• Located at Riverview Health Centre (RHC)
• Clients experiencing stroke are seen in this clinic after hospital discharge
• Referrals are accepted from Physicians/Primary Care Providers

Spinal Cord Injury Outpatient Clinic

Spasticity Outpatient Clinic

• Some causes of spasticity include: stroke, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury
• Spasticity is treated with medications including Botox, which are covered under Pharmacare and other insurance plans
• The Clinical Team consists of:
  • Physiatrists (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Doctors)
  • Rehabilitation Nurses
  • Physical Therapists
  • Occupational Therapists
  • Rehabilitation Engineers
