What can’t be disclosed by law to patients / their families following a critical incident?

Under legislation certain information can not be disclosed to the patient, resident, client or their family following a critical incident. That includes:

  • Any record or information prepared only for the use of a Critical Incident Review Committee (CIRC).
  • Any report prepared for and provided by the regional health authority for the purposes of a CIRC.
